Tristan Garner has been putting himself on the world dance map as one of the most talented DJ/producers of the NEW French generation to follow in the footsteps of Cerrone, Daft Punk and Cassius.
The Parisian resident has risen to the forefront of the scene and received international recognition by having a string of hits including; “Give Love”, “Freedom”, “Caribe”, the international smash “Last Forever” with Norman Doray ft. Errol Reid and last year’s House anthem “Fuckin Down” with Gregori Klosman.
Due to Tristan’s release success and support coming from some of the world’s biggest DJs such as Swedish House Mafia, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, David Guetta, Dirty South and Roger Sanchez the Nice born jock has had the pleasure of playing all over the globe at some of the world’s best clubs and events including; Amnesia, Ibiza, Pop Plage, Noumea, Goa Beach and for We Are Family, Moscow.
Fast-forward to the present, Tristan has been working hard on developing his newly launched Xtra Life Records imprint (a subdivision of Strictly Rhythm) and in the studio creating future floor fillers such as “Fallin” Feat. Polina on Xtra Life/AATW/3Beat with heavy support coming from Tiesto and his remixes of Redroche Vs Armstrong “Make Your Move 2011” on Ministry Of Sound and Eyezcream and Nadia Ali’s “Rapture” which has had Support from Swedish House Mafia, Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Cosmic Gate.
When Rolling Stone’s Tim Duggan proclaimed The Potbelleez to be “the fastest rising stars of the dance scene” in 2006, he foresaw what would be almost unanimously obvious to the wider industry and music fans alike only 18 months later. Their first single ‘Don’t Hold Back’ brought Aussie audiences to their knees. Their second ‘Are You With Me’ is currently riding high in the charts and the band is up for three ARIA awards in October. Couple this with a non-stop touring schedule across Australia and Europe and a gargantuan debut album due for imminent release - The Potbelleez are on the success super highway with not a break-light in sight!
The Potbelleez are DJ-producers Dave Goode and Jonny Sonic, sassy singer & MC Blue and vocalist Ilan Kidron. Both Irish, Dave and Jonny landed as backpackers in Sydney in 2002 and met shortly after to form the original dynamic duo. Blue joined the pair in 2005, having previously dropped rhymes for legendary UK act Hexstatic, whilst living in London and Ilan made his entrance in 2006 as the band took about a legendary 2 year Saturday night residency at Moulin Rouge in Sydney’s red light district, Kings Cross. In 2006 the band made their first momentous strike with the dancefloor killers ‘Junkyard’ and ‘Duuurty Dreemz’. ‘Junkyard’ stormed to No.2 on the Australian ARIA club charts. Both tracks feature on the debut EP ‘In the Junkyard’ which was released in April 2007. The Limited edition sold out in 6 weeks.
In October 2007 things took another massive step forward, when the band dropped ‘Don’t Hold Back’. Combining Dave & Jonny’s punchy electro-laced beats, guitar-licked sonics and Ilan’s captivating vocals, the track was the kind of unique offering that demanded people sit up and take notice. It spent an incredible 17 weeks at No.1 in the ARIA dance charts and 29 weeks in the ARIA Top 40 singles chart. The single also went platinum selling over 100,000 units – gaining them three ARIA nominations for the 2008 award, in the category of ‘Highest Selling Single’, ‘Breakthrough Artist – Single’ and ‘Best Dance Release’.
With The Potbelleez’s reputation spreading like a bush fire, so it was no surprise (but indeed a privilege) when Channel Ten requested the band open the world famous Sydney Harbour New Years Eve celebrations - the performance being watched by over 2.2 million viewers nationally. A recent show stopping performance on the Australian MTV awards and the band taking out 5 position in the National inthemix50 DJ poll again reinforce the high-demand for the band.
Amidst the excitement the band managed to produce an exceptional follow up single ‘Are You With Me’ which hit the ground running as Australian radio’s 1 Most Added Song to national playlists. This track was an instant hit on the ARIA Charts. Out of 16 weeks of ARIA airplay, 15 of those weeks were spent in the top 40, peaking at 15. It was also heavily featured during Channel 7’s broadcast of the Beijing Olympics. Ministry of Sound Australia also snapped them up to mix the latest platinum selling ‘Sessions 5’ which was released on 31st May 2008. Seemingly everything The Potbelleez touch turns to platinum.
Today, The Potbelleez unquestionably stand as one of Australia’s most in-demand acts, having performed over 250 gigs in 2007 alone. The band may have set the benchmark high but it seems that in 2008 they may top it, having played Future Music Festival, Good Vibrations, We Love Sounds, MTV Snow Jam in NZ and huge gigs at the Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland. Upcoming performances at Global Gathering Australia, Homebake in Sydney and Southern Amp in New Zealand will ensure the year ends with a bang and that 2009 starts with an even bigger bang with live performances at headline slots at The Good Vibrations National tour.
The Potbelleez live show is excitement plus, with Dave and Jonny displaying their breathtaking skills over four CDJ’s, two mixers and two FX units, while Blue and Ilan weave their magic up front. The set-up is a proven winner for music fans and promoters alike, with the band having played in front of 35,000 people at the opening of the A League Soccer Grand Final at Sydney Football Stadium plus a host of festival appearances including Global Gathering & Godskitchen (UK) and the Jim Beam Mix it Up Tour in China in 2005.
It’s a daunting thought to imagine where The Potbelleez will be a year from now. In November their self-titled debut album is set for release through Vicious. A recent tour throughout Germany and upcoming tours in the UK and Ireland will also further boost The Potbelleez profile. And if they have a few spare hours, Dave, Jonny, Blue and Ilan may just fit in a few hours of sleep, but there are no guarantees of that when you’re one of the hottest damn dance acts on the planet. .

Of all the exciting new house sounds coming out of the East these days, Swanky Tunes ranks among the most noteworthy.
The group formed in 1998, experimenting with different electronic styles in pursuit of their own sound. At first, there were techno sounds mixed with vintage synthesizers. Then the group moved into a distinctly big-beat influenced sound. These days, hints of the techno, electro-80's, and the contemporary progressive house movements are all finding their way into the mix.
Swanky Tunes were named ‘Best Musical Group’ in 2006 and 2007 at the Russian Dance Music Awards and they are currently ranked #14 among the Top 100 DJs of Russia.
Internationally, their tracks and remixes have been issued on Mixmash, Spinnin' Records, Refune, Size Records and Cr2 Records.
Swanky Tunes last releases have been heavily supported by: Tiesto, David Guetta, Sandern Van Doorn, Swedish House Mafia (Axwell, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso), Laidback Luke and Dirty South.
Based on this past success, rumors abound that Swanky Tunes may soon emerge on the top of the dance club charts worldwide.

There are few boxes left for TV ROCK to tick. Double ARIA Award winners, the duo, comprised of GQ DJ of the Year Grant Smillie and Ivan Gough have been dominating the charts for the past 5 years. TV ROCK has spent the longest time in ARIA history inside the top 10 for their debut single ‘Flaunt It’ and have had no less than 11 number 1 positions on the ARIA Club chart for their remixes and originals. If that wasn’t enough, they also own and run Neon Records – a highly successful dance imprint which has already cracked a 1 on the internationally renowned digital download site Beatport.
The TV ROCKers regularly play the Australian, Asian, European and American circuit and have played to millions closing the MTV music awards, provided the pre-game beats for the Australian Open Men’s Tennis finals and featured as the pre-game entertainment at the AFL Grand Final!
TV ROCK were listed by IDJ and Mixmag in 2008 as the ones to watch and with no wonder- their single ‘Been A Long Time’ was picked up by Axwell’s label ‘Axtone’ and remixed by Laidback Luke and Axwell- getting spins on Pete Tong’s ‘Essential Selection’ on Radio 1 and rocketing to the 1 position on the Oz charts. This follows on the success of ‘The Others’ with The Dukes Of Windsor and more recently ‘Happiness’, which they collaborated with Luke Chable.
Last year saw another monster year for the TV ROCK lads – in addition to launching their own record label, they produced 3 hit singles for Melbourne singer Zoe Badwi - their first track together ‘Release Me’ spent 7 weeks at 1 on the ARIA charts and was nominated for an ARIA Award for BEST DANCE SINGLE OF 2009.
In the second half of the year, they unleased the massive ‘In The Air’, a collaboration with vocalist Rudy which dominated the 1 spot on the ARIA Club Chart for 10 weeks and was signed to Ministry Of Sound for the UK and Axtone throughout Europe with label don Axwell providing an epic mix. Throughout Europe, Pete Tong and Judge Jules have already given the thumbs up with support also coming from Radio 1’s daytime shows. Championed by Kiss and Galaxy’s leading specialist shows, ‘In The Air’ recently entered the Cool Cuts chart at No.4 and has already clocked up over an astonishing 150 million views on Youtube. The HUGE reactions in commercial clubland have already heralded ‘In The Air’ as one of the first anthems of 2010!
In addition to TV ROCK’s impressive production pedigree, they’ve remixed a who’s who of dance music, with rerubs of Groove Armada, Sander Kleinenberg, Axwell, Armand Van Helden, Tiesto, Dirty South, Calvin Harris, Paul Van Dyk, and many more.
